Adventures with Books and Movies

Jamie Dawn has a request on her blog. She asked her readers for movies we think are worth watching more than once. In her comment box a lot of great movies are listed. I even printed the comments so I could rent the movies I haven't seen yet.

With all due respect, I'm taking her idea down a different path. I'm asking her and all her friends—and you—to suggest a good book and the movie of the same title. Something you have both read and watched.

F'rinstance, I read Fried Green Tomatoes by Fannie Flagg, and then watched the movie. I've done the same with Cool Hand Luke, Hunt for Red October, Little Women, The Firm… I think you get the point.

So with your help, I can enjoy a good book from the library and then walk down the street to rent the movie. If things turn out the way I think, then I'll have a really entertaining 2006. Doncha think?

Okay, so who's gonna suggest…?
