Big House on the Prairie

You don't come across scenes like this very often anymore. Especially, right in the middle of The Big City. I was out walking Tuesday morning and when I came upon this colorful homestead I stopped in my tracks. For a few moments I felt like I was in a special place. I gingerly stepped into the yard and stayed long enough to take 38 photos.

It goes all over the place!

I got down on my stomach among the dandelions for this shot. 

My First Wife likes this view best. 

"Oh, look. You have all those green colors. And that soft blue. And that Redbud tree...oh, and that little rock wall. I like that very much. So many colors. And, you know, when artists paint pictures, they always put a road in it like this. I love this picture, Hunny."
