21. Math is my arch-enemy. But I really enjoy reading.
22. Let's play baseball—or besbol. I'm a big fan. When I was 11, my Little League batting average was .051 (2 for 39). When I was 12, it was much, much better. Whew!
23. In the past ten years or so, I've really come to like ice hockey. I was disappointed when the NHL players went on strike in '03-'04.
24. My son participated in the first Gulf War. (Bush War I)
25. I never understood why the US started another war in Iraq (Bush War II), and am opposed to it. I suppose when Haliburton says, “Okay, we have enough money and power now,” the Goof War—the only war the US ever started—will suddenly stop.
26. I support our troops. [Insert magnetic yellow ribbon] My brothers and I were troops. My brothers-in-law, my son-in-law, too. My son was one.
27. I'm a Viet Nam era veteran, but I never went overseas.
28. Teaching Sunday School or a Bible class is hard work.
29. I don't have a favorite TV show.
30. Favorite sound: “Hugs-kisses, Granddaddy. Hugs-kisses.”
31. "Tear down the fence!" Mexico and the US should become one country. "No màs cercas!" Think about that, too.
32. I like The Trans-Syberian Orchestra, ABBA, Veggie Tales, Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Electric Light Orchestra. I like Southern Gospel, Mozart, Rock 'n' Roll, church hymns, The Beatles…let's just say I enjoy almost all music.
33. My First Wife is an excellent alto soloist.
34. One year—long, long ago—I sang the two tenor solos in The Messiah.
35. Another year, I won a taco-eating contest—17 in one sitting.
36. When I was a kid, I won 88th place in a pet contest and got a football.(I took a queen bee.)
37. The next day I won 1st place in an Ugliest Little Sister contest and they made me give the football back.
38. My 12-year-old Ford Ranger pickup is my all-time favorite personal vehicle. I bought it new.
39. There are eight (8) ways for a baseball player to get on first base. Trust me.
40. I've had more jobs than anyone I ever heard of. It's embarrassing.
