The Truth About Me

Last week I posted 100 really important things that everyone should know about me and mine. However, I confessed that three of the items were fictitious. Without further ado or suspense, the three fictitious comments were

#19. Our team of four never earned a $1,600 tip. (Dag-nab it!) The rest of the statement is true.

#56. I have not killed a rattlesnake yet.

#37. This one was obvious. I never won an ugly little sister contest—but I could have.

So to replace those three…

  • Last Spring I received a personal, handwritten letter from William Zinsser, the world-class author of On Writing Well. (I am a blessed man.)
  • I don't cuss and I don't like to hear it or read it. (Well, sometimes a cracklin', crunchy curse is the only thing that works. Know what I mean?)
  • My little sister is quite beautiful! (I am a blessed brother—and still alive.)
If you missed the list, step over to the right-hand column and read all about me and mine.
