Adventures at Waffle House

We went all the way from Pancake Flats to Jacksonville this past weekend to attend a wedding. They got married on Friday evening and then served up a buffet spread like you've never quite seen before. No wedding cake, thank goodness. But--they met each other two years ago at 2:30 a.m. in a Waffle House. So it was only appropriate that they served some cute and beautiful little waffles instead of a cake. Now ain't that creative? Bless their hearts.



I tried to watch out for all those pesky calories--you know what I'm talking about--but those cute little waffles with all that raspberry compote were so good...

And on Saturday morning, I gritted my teeth, visited a nearby Weight Watchers and got up on the scales. I cannot believe I lost three (count 'em--3) more pounds!

I celebrated by hurrying to Dunkin Donuts and buying a pound of fresh--get this--ground coffee! I promise you: life is good.
