Adventures in the Southern Arizona Desert

It's my great joy to shout out that I have just received the proof copy of my long-awaited, forthcoming book. (See below.)

Title: Growing Up in the 1950s...Just Seven Blocks from the Mexican Border. A Southern Arizona Memoir.

I'm also proud to say that "...Just Seven Blocks..." is published by (click here) Inheritance Press in Lake Mary, Florida. After you open the site, click the "Coming Soon" tab for more and more information. Bookmark the link! The book will be available for sale there about September 5. I will surely let you know when the "store" is open.

Want to read an excerpt?

“…out in the stillness of the hot desert; out where no one heard us or saw us. Out where the sky is big and the noonday sun never moves. Out where breezes are forbidden; where heat wins every argument. Out where the rocky ground is sharp and hot. Out where the spirit of the great Apaches follows you along the desert floor. Out where water is only a mirage and shade comes only at night. Out where everything is about a hundred miles from here.

Ah, the Southern Arizona desert. What a great place. What a special place!”

Thank you.
