30 Days of Gratitude, Day 21

Today I am grateful for my brother and sister.

I have a brother whose name is Paul Nichols, same as mine. He passed away before I was born—but he’s still my brother. Then there’s Neal, Noel and Ruth. Noel has passed, too. Ruth is getting married next month, and Neal and I are anxious to welcome our new brother-in-law, Arnie.

Neal and Ruth are on the left. You can tell I loved baseball early on. That’s me scratching my...uh, leg.

[Gweeee-beep, Gweeee-beep, Gweeee-beep] We interrupt this program for a breaking news bulletin. Last night, My First Wife and I watched some more kids...oh, shoot. Just re-read “Day 17,” only this time substitute the title Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I tell ya’—kids are something special! And they can sing and dance, too. You shoulda been there!

Read all the previous 20 gratitudinous posts, then tell me something you're grateful for.
